Lily Li is a New York–based illustrator and visual artist whose work explores systems, identity, and the lived experience of people positioned at the margins of social structures. Working primarily with watercolor, pencil, and mixed media on paper and wood panel, she combines narrative illustration with conceptual thinking, often using metaphor, architecture, and myth to reflect on power, bureaucracy, and belonging.

She received her BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) with Rhodes Family Award. Her work has been recognized internationally, including the Homiens Art Prize (Spring 2025 Winner) and Hiii Illustration Merit Award. Her projects span editorial illustration, independent publications, and long-form narrative IP development.

Lily is currently based in New York City and works between fine art, illustration, and visual storytelling.
